Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license in TX.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.
• Proven record of evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Participation in professional societies is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Shift requirements: 3rd shift - 7 days on/7 days off - 9pm-8am, hour lunch.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law.
• Ensure that medicines prescribed are suitable.
• Maintain confidential patient records.
• Advise patients about medicines and potential interactions.
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription meds.
• Offer services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure checks.
• Educate patients on handling medical devices.
• Compound medications for external or internal use.
• Prepare sterile solutions.
• Supervise pharmacy staff.
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians.
