Job summary

MasTec Civil is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support day-to-day accounting functions, including timekeeping, payroll processing, and compliance with wage laws. This on-site position in Medley, FL requires attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include reviewing timesheets, assisting with payroll processing and taxes, preparing reports, and supporting audits and month-end close. Prior experience in payroll within a construction-related setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Construction-related industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate employee timesheets for hours, pay types and classifications.
• Assist with payroll processing including adjustments and final pay.
• Handle payroll taxes, deductions, and benefit payments in line with regulations.
• Prepare payroll reports and compliance documents for management and project teams.
• Assist with government payroll reporting and wage requirements (Davis-Bacon Act).
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and audits.
