Job summary

Virtua Mount Holly seeks staff for the Ortho Stroke Unit. This on-site, part-time position supports patients in daily activities under RN/LPN guidance. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and basic care, assisting with mobility, and communicating with the health-care team. BLS certification and phlebotomy training are required for ED roles; compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; Phlebotomy training/education is required for Emergency Department positions.
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living for patients on the Ortho Stroke Unit, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and mobility assistance.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN and follows standard precautions and safety protocols.
• Reinforces education for patients and families and participates in quality initiatives and staff orientation.
