R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Customer Service Representative on-site in Marquette, MI. You will be the first contact for patients, handling check-in, verifying information, and assisting across systems to ensure fast, compassionate access to care.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and vaccination requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with the check-in process across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions clearly.
• Build trust with patients during moments of stress or illness.
• Navigate insurance plans, enter demographics, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
