Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for all patients at HSHS - St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls, WI.

This is an onsite role requiring empathy, accuracy, and strong customer service as you support patients and providers. You will verify insurance, collect demographics, pre-register patients, explain consent forms, and support POS and billing processes to help ensure clean claim rates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI.
• CRCR certification within 6 months of hire (Company Paid).

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Provide patient instructions and collect insurance information.
• Receive and process physician orders and use overlay tools while delivering excellent customer service.
• Operate telephone switchboard and maintain a compassionate communication style.
• Audit accounts and ensure forms are completed accurately and timely.
• Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits and collect demographics and financial information.
• Explain and distribute patient education documents and consents.
