Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an onsite, PRN role at HSHS - St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls, WI.

You will perform admitting duties for all patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect information, and support POS billing while upholding compliance and patient experience. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of customer service experience, is willing to learn and adapt, and holds a High School Diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Willingness to innovate, including AI-driven process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients for services at the hospital per policy.
• Assist with MRN assignment, medical necessity/compliance checks, insurance collection, and POS.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service.
• Use QA and reporting systems to correct accounts and provide data.
• Pre-register patient accounts and obtain demographic and insurance details.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data to support billing.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute forms.
