Job summary

YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area is seeking a part-time housekeeper to support our facility. The role is on-site and offers up to 15 hours per week, with duties including cleaning, mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, and event setup as required.

Qualifications

• Six months of related cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret instructions and manuals.
• Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Y is clean by completing duties on the schedule and maintain area/equipment.
• Operate related equipment (motorized and non-motorized).
• Record and report repairs; perform repairs as directed.
• Maintain building security during shift; report hazards to supervisor.
• Replace soap, paper towels and supplies.
• Set up furniture for events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
