Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Texas (Harker Heights) seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor eligibility, adverse events, lab result reviews, and donor notifications. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, adhering to plasma industry regulations and BioLife policies.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic certification, CPR/AED, and two years of clinical experience, with FDA training completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, and screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS.
