Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor screening, eligibility determination, and adverse event management at our Waco center. You will assess donors per SOPs, review lab results, and coordinate with the Center Physician for medical issues.

This role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure and CPR/AED certification, with background in clinical settings. You will work under the Center Manager for operations while following BioLife Medical Affairs

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage occupational health/ER incidents with EHS guidance.
