Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, and review test results. You will work under the Center Manager for operations and the Center Physician for medical issues, familiar with plasma industry regulations.

The role includes supporting vaccination programs for employees, incident management, and EHS guidance, with two years in clinical settings and required EMT-Paramedic licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent incl. nursing program graduate.
• Licensed/certified EMT-Paramedic in the state of responsibility.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents and occupational health reviews as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
