Job summary

Seven Executive Limited is partnering with a profitable North American paper manufacturer to appoint a General Manager for one of its key manufacturing facilities. You will take full operational ownership, drive safety, production, maintenance, quality and financial performance, and develop a high‑performing site leadership team.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, deep papermaking knowledge and a track record of improving productivity, reliability and cost effectiveness, with the authority

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a paper mill or pulp and paper manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical understanding of papermaking operations, production processes, equipment reliability and mill performance.
• Experience as a General Manager, Mill Manager, Plant Manager or senior operations leader.
• Demonstrated success improving manufacturing performance, operational efficiency and team capability.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing significant operational budgets.
• A visible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive cultural and operational change.
• Direct paper manufacturing experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for a paper manufacturing facility, including safety, production, maintenance, quality and financial performance.
• Drive improvements in productivity, machine efficiency, reliability and manufacturing costs.
• Build, coach and develop a high‑performing site leadership team.
• Establish a culture of accountability, operational discipline and continuous improvement.
• Lead strategic initiatives to optimise mill performance, profitability and long‑term competitiveness.
• Manage budgets, capital investment priorities and operational KPIs.
