Job summary

FPC of Savannah is seeking a Production Manager for its Porter County, Indiana site to lead the production team and drive operational excellence in a high‑volume paper mill.

Relocation reimbursement is provided, including closing costs. The ideal candidate has 4–6+ years in paper mill production and a degree in Pulp & Paper Science or engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pulp & Paper Science highly preferred.
• 4-6+ years of production experience specifically in paper mills.
• Top candidates will have experience working on multiple paper machines, stock prep systems, and with high mixed waste recycled products.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate the entire production process.
• Lead a team of 5 direct reports including assistant PMs + plant chemist.
• Assist in capital planning and budget development adherence and analysis.
• Evaluate new trends for deployment within the mill, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders.
• Reports to onsite GM & works closely w/ executive leaders to ensure continued plant profitability.

The ideal candidate will come from the pulp & paper industry and have a passion for green products. Consumer trends are driving increased demand towards recycled vs. virgin products, which is bringing growth to the business. This site is smaller for the org but is their most productive-they make the most product and are proud of it. This hire will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
