Job summary

KHS, a leading packaging systems provider and a subsidiary of Salzgitter AG, seeks a Site Manager to oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of packaging lines at customer facilities. You will lead field service teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Travel up to 90% domestically and internationally; a hands-on leader with strong technical and communication skills is essential for success in fast‑paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on troubleshooting ability and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Ability to diagnose, repair and resolve mechanical or technical issues.
• Knowledge of technical drawings, layouts and system schematics.
• Understanding of on-site safety standards and industrial equipment safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation of new machines, full production lines, complex upgrades and line relocations.
• Prepares sites, arranges equipment, and coordinates accommodations and transport for installations.
• Manages on-site Field Service Technicians and selected contractors.
• Maintains install/commissioning schedule and communicates with customer and project team.
• Interfaces with Engineering, Production and Project Management to solve issues.
