Job summary

Sanborn Head & Associates, Inc. in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is seeking an Owner’s Field Representative to serve as the project owner’s on-site representative during construction.

You will monitor progress, ensure adherence to plans, and maintain daily logs. This role collaborates with contractors, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to support informed ownership decisions, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience on industrial, commercial, healthcare, education, or mixed-use projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with owner-side project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full-time on-site presence to observe construction progress.
• Verify work complies with plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Document construction issues, deficiencies, and risks.
• Track progress, schedules, and contractor performance.
• Monitor safety compliance and report concerns to ownership.
• Serve as on-site liaison among owners, contractors, architects, and engineers.
• Attend weekly owner/contractor meetings.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
