Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking an ophthalmic assistant to perform a variety of ocular examinations and procedures, assisting the provider with patient care and daily department operations.

You will maintain accurate records, coordinate patient flow through the physician's schedule, and contribute to staff education and training while adhering to BLS requirements and on-site standard hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 18 months of optometry or ophthalmology experience.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of ocular examinations and procedures assisting the provider with patient care and daily department operations.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate the timely flow of patients through the physician's schedule.
• Assist in educational and technical training sessions of other staff based on competency.
• Other duties as assigned.
