Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking an Operations QA Intern for the Decatur, AL site. You will work with manufacturing technicians and salaried employees to collect data, learn the production process, and support grading guidance.

You will complete and manage projects, document and communicate results, and develop program documentation while adhering to safety procedures. This internship offers hands-on experience in a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• A rising junior or senior in science or engineering; Food Science or Industrial/Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Able to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Comfortable working in both office and plant environments and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with technicians on the production floor to collect data and understand manufacturing processes.
• Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results.
• Collect, analyze, and utilize data to propose improvements while interfacing with staff on site.
• Develop and update program documentation.
