Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. offers an Operations QA Internship in Decatur, AL, on-site with 100% in-person work. You will collaborate with manufacturing technicians and salaried staff to collect data, learn the manufacturing process, and support process capability assessments to meet specifications.

You will complete and manage projects, document results, and communicate outcomes across teams, while developing program documentation and adhering to plant safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A rising junior or senior standing in school with requisite educational experience in a science field or engineering – Food Science or Industrial or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• A well-rounded skill set including the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must be able to work in both an office and plant environment and comply with all safety procedures.

Your Opportunity as an Operations QA Intern

As an intern within Operations, you will work with operating technicians and salaried employees to collect data and learn the manufacturing process to better understand process capabilities for meeting specifications and support grading guidance. You will complete and manage projects, and effectively document and communicate results.
