Job summary

PowerPak Civil & Safety LLC in Hanover, MD is seeking an Operations Manager for our distribution center. You will own end-to-end operations on the floor, including receiving, inventory, fulfillment, and outbound delivery, while leading a lean team and building scalable processes.

You'll drive safety, accuracy, and efficiency, coordinate with purchasing, sales, and customer service, and take ownership of daily performance to meet delivery commitments and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse, distribution, or operations.
• Track record of owning outcomes when shipments must be accurate and on time.
• Comfort managing the floor and the bigger picture at the same time.
• Experience coordinating deliveries with drivers and third-party carriers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to inventory accuracy.
• Proficiency with warehouse/inventory systems (WMS/ERP) and ability to learn new tools quickly.

Responsibilities

• Receiving: inbound freight, PO verification, and accurate put-away.
• Inventory: cycle counts, bin organization, and trustworthy stock data.
• Fulfillment: picking, packing, and order accuracy.
• Outbound logistics: coordinating fleet, routing, and carriers to meet delivery commitments.
• Sales support: operational point of contact for branch sales on orders, inventory, and delivery questions.
• Overseeing safety, housekeeping, throughput, and daily process improvements.
• Cross-functional coordination: collaborate with purchasing, sales, and customer service to keep orders moving.
