Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day multimodal transportation, warehousing, and contract logistics operations in Nashville. Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field.
• Forklift certification required; site equipment handling skills.
• 5+ years in transportation, supply chain, 3PL/contract logistics or similar ops.
• Experience leading Supervisors or multi-level teams in high-volume settings.
• Strong use of dashboards and KPIs to drive results.
• Knowledge of WMS, TMS, ERP and data reporting tools.
• LEAN/Six Sigma/Kaizen experience in live operations.
• Ability to operate MHE and maintain safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across areas to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Drive disciplined execution aligned with customer requirements and service levels.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for performance issues.
• Enforce SOPs, regulatory requirements, and operating rhythms.
• Own KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, service, cost, and productivity.
• Lead performance reviews using metrics and dashboards.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply structured problem solving to root causes.
• Lead safety culture and ensure policy compliance (OSHA/DOT).
• Ensure quality through audits and corrective actions.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, and deployment.
• Monitor costs and provide cost visibility for budgeting.
• Drive cost awareness and financial discipline with leaders.
• Develop Supervisors and front-line teams; plan succession.
• Set clear expectations and coach for accountability.
• Foster engagement and a performance-driven culture.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
• Coordinate with account management for customer-aligned ops.
• Participate in customer reviews and site visits as needed.
• Handle other duties to meet evolving business needs.
