Job summary

A global real estate firm is looking for an Operating Engineer in Washington, DC, to support maintenance for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and the ability to lift heavy equipment. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) plan and paid parental leave. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Strong customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC systems, and general upkeep.
• Maintain work order system and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot building systems and respond to emergency situations.
