Job summary

Cancer Center of Kansas in Wichita, KS, is seeking a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse to join our oncology team. Work hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no major holidays, on-call or weekend shifts.

The RN will provide professional cancer nursing care under supervision, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient needs and adherence to standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education (BSN preferred).
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must maintain continuing education requirements.
• 0–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care per standards.
• Assess health status through patient interviews and history.
• Administer therapies and monitor patient responses under physician supervision.
• Provide patient/family teaching and psychosocial support.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate charting; manage data and documentation.
