Kiewit Nuclear Solutions seeks a Field Engineer Intern to support site engineering during construction of complex projects. You will interpret and adjust designs for site conditions, manage technical issues, and ensure work meets specifications, while coordinating with construction managers on field changes.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering design documents, drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and constructability.
• Ability to communicate engineering solutions verbally and in writing for management, customers, peers, and craft personnel.
• Aptitude for conducting field verifications of construction work to enforce drawings, specs, and codes.
• Collaborative problem solving between design engineers and the constructor to resolve issues on site.
• Knowledge of basic construction engineering principles and safety.
• Detail-oriented with strong work ethic and reliability.
• US citizenship required; badge access and security screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support in estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed construction work.
• Performs permits/clearances, lockouts, Escort Agreements, and work authorizations prior to site work.
• Verifies work in progress to ensure safety, quality, environmental controls, and schedule compliance.
• Prepares procedures and technical documents as needed.
• May prepare/approve purchase requisitions for materials/services.
• Reviews lessons learned and collaborates with corporate teams on projects.
