St. Claire Regional Med Center in Morehead, KY, is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Room.

This on-site, full-time role provides direct, compassionate care under supervision, assisting with vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation, and activities of daily living. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0-1 year healthcare experience, BLS, CPI, and SRNA certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in relevant area.
• 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
• BLS, CPI, State Registered Nurse Aid (SRNA) certification in applicable state

Responsibilities

• Assists the patient care team with routine patient care, comfort, hygiene, mobility, and delegated non-nursing tasks under supervision.
• Performs admission, transfer, discharge, and transportation activities, and accompanies patients to appointments or visitations as needed.
• Monitors and documents patient status, including vital signs, intake and output, pain assessments, and completes required checks and observations.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to the healthcare team and participates in patient hand-offs using established protocols.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment by cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper equipment function and storage.
