Job summary

St. Claire Regional Med Center in Morehead, KY is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to provide compassionate, patient-centered care under supervision.

The role includes basic clinical tasks, monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and supporting the care team. You will assist with documentation, patient transport, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• 0-1 years healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS, CPI, SRNA certification as applicable required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine patient care, comfort, hygiene, mobility and delegated non-nursing tasks under supervision.
• Performs admission, transfer, discharge and transportation of patients as needed and accompanies patients to appointments.
• Monitors and documents patient status (vital signs, intake/output, pain) and completes required checks.
• Communicates patient information to the care team and participates in hand-offs per protocols.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment, restocks supplies, and ensures equipment function and storage.
