Responsibilities

  • Assists the patient care team with routine patient care, comfort, hygiene, mobility, and delegated non-nursing tasks under supervision.
  • Performs admission, transfer, discharge, and transportation activities, and accompanies patients to appointments or visitations as needed.
  • Monitors and documents patient status, including vital signs, intake and output, pain assessments, and completes required checks and observations.
  • Communicates pertinent patient information to the healthcare team and participates in patient hand-offs using established protocols.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment by cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper equipment function and storage.

Assists with obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation, activities of daily living, patient mobility, and preparation for procedures. Ensures a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment by adhering to organizational policies, infection control practices, and safety protocols. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient comfort, satisfaction, and optimal outcomes.
