Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring for a Manufacturing Forklift Operator II on a 12-month, on-site contract in Evansville, IN. The role involves operating fork trucks, setting up extrusion equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards on a rotating night shift (Wednesday to Friday, 6 PM–6 AM).

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, with extrusion experience preferred and a valid forklift license.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED; 5 years of manufacturing experience may meet education requirement.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Extrusion experience preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license for operation of a forklift.
• Previous forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive fork trucks and participate in housekeeping for the work area.
• Set up one or two extruders to run a product according to SOPs with minimal downtime and loss of product.
• Monitor and troubleshoot during the extrusion process.
• If safety or quality issues develop, stop process and assist in problem-solving with supervisor, maintenance, safety and other operators.
• Complete product turnarounds, including cleaning the extruder components and associated equipment to prevent contamination.
• Maintain proper records including run logs, packaging reports, work orders and logbooks.
