Job summary

NEPHRON SC, LLC is seeking a Network Security Administrator to oversee the organization’s network security, firewall administration, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and incident response. The role works with various teams and MSPs to protect enterprise systems and ensure reliable operations.

The position requires hands-on experience with enterprise networking, VPN technologies, and security controls, and prefers Security+ or CCNA certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with endpoint security, antivirus, malware protection, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Knowledge of firewall administration, network segmentation, access control, and security best practices.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation, incident response, security event investigation, and risk mitigation activities.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, wireless networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience administering Cisco Switches, Cisco WLCs, Meraki Firewalls, or comparable platforms.
• Security+, CCNA, or similar certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer and support endpoint security, antivirus, malware protection, and related cybersecurity technologies.
• Monitor network and security systems for performance, availability, security events, and potential threats.
• Investigate, respond to, and coordinate remediation activities for security alerts, suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, and operational incidents.
• Coordinate security monitoring, incident response, and threat remediation activities with internal teams and managed security service providers.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, security hardening, risk assessments, and security-control reviews.
• Implement and maintain network and endpoint security controls, standards, and best practices to protect enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Administer firewall platforms, security policies, access rules, VPNs, and related security controls.
• Manage enterprise certificate lifecycles, including issuance, renewal, monitoring, and remediation of expiring certificates supporting network, security, and infrastructure services.
• Support enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless networking, and remote-access technologies.
• Support change management, system upgrades, firmware maintenance, and technology lifecycle activities.
• Maintain network diagrams, security documentation, inventories, standards, and administrative records.
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, after-hours maintenance, and on-call support activities.
• Provide technical support and escalation assistance for network and security-related issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, customer care, automation, MES, and other technology teams to support secure and reliable business operations.
