Region 8 ESC is seeking a Computer/Network Support Technician to perform on-site work installing, testing, and maintaining district network hardware, PCs, software and peripherals across campuses in Paris, Texas. The role requires diagnosing and repairing network and computer issues with strong customer service.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in computer repair and networking, plus a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check. Reports to Technology Director.

Qualifications

• Degree or Equivalent Experience is required.
• Clear and valid driver’s license is required.
• Pass a background check is required.

Responsabilités

• Install and test network hardware, software, and upgrades, and identify and resolve issues.
• Monitor and analyze system utilization; recommend improvements as needed.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of network equipment.
• Diagnose and repair network connectivity and hardware issues including IP Phones.
• Maintain network design and configuration documentation.
• Assist with organization and distribution of technology for classroom use.
• Work with end users to identify needs and correct problems.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining district-wide network security for all systems.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
