Job summary

Leidos is seeking motivated technology students for its Summer 2027 Internship Program. As a Network Operations Intern, you will join the Digital Sector on the GSM-O II contract at MacDill AFB, FL, gaining hands-on experience supporting the DISN for USCENTCOM and DISA.

You will work with engineers to learn network health and performance, exposure to various technologies, and how the team ensures reliable vital communications for the DoD. This on-site internship starts May 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with functional analysis of network data and designs.
• Learn how to convert customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Shadow the team to understand troubleshooting and fault analysis.
• Gain exposure to Network Engineering, Network Operations, and Unified Capabilities.
• Assist with customer provisioning and the phase-out of legacy technology.
• Help create documentation and collect metrics for government reporting.
