Leidos, a leader in defense, intelligence, and technology, invites motivated students to join the Summer 2027 Internship Program as a Network Engineering & Operations Intern. You will be embedded with engineering and operations teams at Scott AFB, IL, gaining hands-on experience on a live, global network supporting DoD missions.

You will shadow senior engineers, learn change management, analyze network data, and collaborate across DISA units. Must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering discipline.
• Foundational networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and OSI model familiarity.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and proactive learning attitude.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior engineers with customer coordination, network testing, and new service activations.
• Learn Change Management processes for Service Orders and TSOs.
• Analyze network databases and documentation to validate customer requirements.
• Monitor network health and performance after changes.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate technical problems into actionable solutions.
• Understand how DISA organizations collaborate to meet mission requirements.
