Job summary

GovCIO in San Antonio, TX is hiring a Network Engineer for an on-site role supporting Air Force SCI networks. You will design, implement, and optimize secure network solutions and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance, CCNA and Security+ certs, strong communication, and hands-on lab/testing experience to validate changes in production environments.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI clearance and 6–9 years of related experience.
• Current CCNA certification.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and ability to coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain and test on-site Lab environments.
• Leadership and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information concerning capabilities of Company products and investigates technical capabilities of products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software.
• Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements.
• Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures related to the overall network and system development.
• Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole.
• Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning; conducts verification procedures and participates in testing to validate requirements.
