Job summary
Marquee Defense is seeking a seasoned network engineer to design, implement, and secure complex enterprise networks in a Fort Meade environment. You will manage CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, optimize data center networking, and ensure high availability through robust routing, switching, and firewall policies.
The role requires TS/SCI with poly and a readiness to work on-site. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with IPsec VPN, TCP/IP, and virtualization-enabled networks, plus familiarity
Qualifications
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting IPSEC VPN solutions.
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, and routing/switching protocols.
- Experience with network management/monitoring tools (Ciscoworks, HP Openview) for fault detection and capacity planning.
- Experience with TACACS+ for authentication, authorization, and accounting services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce enterprise network security strategies and boundaries.
- Integrate, manage, and optimize networking within datacenter virtualization environments.
- Administer CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure for high availability and performance.
- Perform in-depth network analysis and troubleshooting using advanced packet capture software.
- Respond to incidents and document work in a ticketing system like Remedy.
