Job summary

Harbor Group Management is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in overseeing the day-to-day financial, operational, and administrative functions of a multifamily community. This role emphasizes resident relations, rent collection, leasing support, financial reporting, and on-site property operations.

The position requires coordination with maintenance, timely unit turns, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in multifamily property management.
• Strong understanding of lease agreements, rent collection, and enforcement.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident interaction.

Responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; manage delinquencies.
• Prepare daily deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and financial reporting.
• Process accounts payable and vendor invoices with proper coding.
• Assist with month-end close-out and general ledger postings.
• Support leasing efforts: show units, process applications, sign leases.
• Promote resident satisfaction through proactive communication.
• Coordinate with maintenance for timely unit turns and requests.
• Act as on-site supervisor in the Property Manager's absence.
