Job summary

Ledcor Heavy Civil and Mining services operate across the life of a mine, from facility construction to full-scale contract mining of coal, minerals, or metals, through to mine reclamation.

As Superintendent you will lead on-site operations, supervise crews, optimize production plans, troubleshoot field issues, and coordinate with mine engineers, maintenance teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver safe, efficient results.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of supervisory experience in mining operations or large-scale earthworks.
• Ability to adjust production schedules based on ground, weather, or equipment changes.
• Strong problem-solving and safety-focused mindset.
• Effective communicator with operators, engineers, clients, and leadership.
• Willingness to travel and stay on site for mine projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mining and earthworks operations per mine plans and safety standards.
• Optimize equipment utilization, labor efficiency, and materials.
• Enforce site safety protocols meeting mining requirements.
• Monitor production schedules to meet targets.
• Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
• Hire and develop hourly mine-site staff with Project Manager.
• Coordinate production changes with client representatives as needed.
• Lead planning meetings to ensure equipment readiness and continuity.
