Qualifications

• 3+ years of health and safety experience with 5+ years in emergency response
• Experience leading an emergency response team; mine rescue preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with a results-focused approach
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regular and specialized training for the Spring Valley Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Recruit ERT members to cover emergency response needs across all shifts.
• Coordinate EMS, CPR, and first aid training for site personnel.
• Plan annual emergency response training activities, equipment needs, and maintenance.
• Propose an annual budget for mine rescue activities and needs.
• Maintain the site Emergency Response Plan and equipment; update ERT certifications.
• Assist in investigations into injuries/incidents using root-cause analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and safety documentation; analyze incident data for trends.
• Maintain safety processes and promote a proactive safety culture.
