Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. in Imlay, Nevada, is seeking a Site Mine Rescue Coordinator to lead our rescue program at the Springer Mine. You will ensure MSHA 30 CFR Part 49 compliance, coordinate drills, and manage team readiness.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in underground mining and mine rescue, MSHA Mine Rescue Trainer certification, strong leadership and communications, and a commitment to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold MSHA Mine Rescue Trainer certification and be able to lead rescue operations.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive underground mining and mine rescue experience.
• Strong knowledge of MSHA 30 CFR requirements and related regulations.
• Familiarity with mine rescue equipment and emergency response coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the site's mine rescue and emergency response program.
• Coordinate mine rescue team membership, readiness, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain mine rescue certifications and documentation for all team members.
• Develop and update Emergency Response Plans (ERPs).
• Conduct risk assessments and emergency preparedness evaluations.
• Coordinate drills, mock rescues, and tabletop exercises.
• Ensure emergency communication systems are operational and tested.
• Schedule and oversee mine rescue training exercises and annual requirements.
• Coordinate specialized training (fires, ground control, confined space, rope, medical, hazmat).
• Lead emergency response operations and manage rescue team performance.
• Manage mine rescue equipment inventories and maintenance (breathing apparatus, gas detection, vehicles, medical supplies).
• Assist with health, safety & security matters as needed.
