Job summary

Solidus Resources is seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator to oversee site emergency preparedness and ERT staffing at the Lovelock mine in Nevada. You will train, recruit, and coordinate EMS/CPR/first aid programs for all site personnel.

Under the Health & Safety Manager, you will maintain the Emergency Response Plan, oversee equipment readiness, and lead investigations with root-cause analysis to improve safety culture and regulatory compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of health and safety experience.
• 5+ years of emergency response experience.
• Experience leading and managing an emergency response team; mine rescue experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating health and safety programs, initiatives, or training.
• EMS, firefighting, paramedicine/medical response experience considered an asset.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with a results-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates regular and specialized training for the Spring Valley Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Recruits ERT members to cover emergency response needs on all shifts.
• Coordinates EMS, CPR, and first aid training for site personnel.
• Plans annual emergency response training activities, equipment needs, and maintenance needs.
• Proposes an annual budget for mine rescue activities and needs.
• Maintains the site Emergency Response Plan, equipment, and ERT certifications.
• Coordinates Safety & Health training programs and safety projects.
• Assists in investigations into mine injuries/incidents and analyzes root causes.
• Prepares technical reports and analyzes incident data for trends and corrective actions.
• Supports health and safety regulatory compliance and reporting.
