Job summary

CMTS LLC seeks a Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Inspector to support quality assurance on aviation and infrastructure projects. This on-site, Dallas-based role partners with project managers, engineers, and contractors to verify MEP installations meet plans, codes and QA standards.

Candidates typically bring 5–12 years of inspection experience and a background in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or related technology. Part-time role with strong safety and communication skills encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of inspection experience in infrastructure, aviation, transportation or public sector projects.
• BS or AS degree in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering with field inspection experience.
• Knowledge of MEP construction standards, QA practices, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, specs, schedules and tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections for MEP infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Document field observations, deficiencies, punch lists, and corrective actions.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and testing reports for QA/QC.
• Coordinate with PMs, contractors, engineers, and testing labs to resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain organized inspection records and digital reports throughout project delivery.
• Support safety, environmental, and quality control initiatives across phases.
