Job summary

Fisher Island Club is seeking a results-focused Member Services and Events Coordinator to own the day-to-day execution of all Member social events on-site. You will drive event plans from the strategic level to flawless on-site delivery, coordinating décor, F&B, entertainment, and timelines while maintaining impeccable service standards.

The role requires proven event-planning experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a high-demand hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
• Proactive, action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to planning
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
• Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and Canva)

Responsibilities

• Owns the day-to-day execution of Membership social events and activities, driving plans to completion on-site
• Organizes each venue with decor, table assignments, food & beverage, entertainment, etc.
• Completes administrative details for events, including vendor agreements and certificates of insurance
• Books event spaces and creates banquet event orders (BEO) for each function
• Manages day-to-day event timelines and reports progress to the Manager
• Maintains inventory of event props and off-island storage
• Submits communications requests for special materials and creates events in the Club app
• Prepares event overviews and post-event reports with KPI data
• Keeps accurate event files in shared drive and coordinates with Membership Assistants
• Performs other duties as assigned
