Responsibilities include validating requests, maintaining confidentiality, and providing exceptional customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
• Must be able to use fax, copier, scanning machine.
• Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proven ability to maintain productivity, utilization and quality performance standards.
• Local to Smithfield, VA.

Responsibilities

• Process ROI requests by retrieving and returning patient medical charts and scanning records.
• Validate requests and authorizations based on policy and guidelines; perform quality checks for accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Deliver outstanding customer service; be attentive, respectful, and responsive to client needs.
• Handle requests via mail, fax, online, or email as required.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow dress code.
