Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
• Must be able to use fax, copier, scanning machine.
• Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle ROI requests by retrieving and returning patient medical charts and scanning records.
• Validate requests and authorizations for medical record release per policy and HIPAA.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper billing of released records.
• Maintain equipment and a clean work area, in line with procedures.
• Provide outstanding customer service and respond to client needs promptly.
