Job summary

Spread Your Wings LLC in Sacramento seeks a Billing/Payroll Specialist with medical billing and administrative experience to monitor and recoup payments for a small mental health practice. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the role is office-based with occasional travel to other branches to optimize efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in office duties and accounting/bookkeeping, strong communication, and familiarity with basic payroll and billing systems.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience in an office setting and general office duties.
• Must have at least one year of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with accounting or electronic health record systems is a plus (QuickBooks, QSP, etc.).
• Willingness to travel to other office locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with the Finance team to review, reconcile, monitor, and confirm payments and invoices.
• Provide tracking and monitoring reports to Accounting Manager and other team members on a regular basis.
• Attend team meetings and take minutes to record relevant discussion points.
• Perform general office duties (filing, records management, etc.), including responding to phone calls and emails.
• Assist supervisor with overview and monitoring of company account and invoices to ensure accurate payments.
• Assist team with reconciliation of payroll records/processing and review of relevant documents.
• Assist team with recoupment of retroactive funds to be collected for services rendered in previous periods.
• Enter billing records into electronic invoicing system for reimbursements from regional center offices.
• Assist Payroll department with reviews, data entry, and processing of payroll as assigned.
• Perform other duties to support billing/payroll functions of various departments.
