Job summary

Symbiotic Services is seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Certified Coder & Auditor for a confidential client in the Atlanta, GA area. The role emphasizes accurate CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM coding, billing accuracy, and revenue cycle optimization within a fast-paced oncology-focused environment.

You will audit coding, resolve denials, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams to ensure compliant reimbursement. On-site, full-time position with strong analytical expectations.

Qualifications

• Professional medical coding certification (CPC) or equivalent credential.
• Experience in medical billing and coding, preferably oncology/hematology.
• Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM and coding guidelines.
• Understanding of E/M coding requirements and infusion billing rules.
• Familiarity with Medicare LCDs/NCDs and payer policies.

Responsibilities

• Assign and review CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for services including E/M and infusion.
• Apply infusion billing guidelines and same-day billing rules.
• Ensure accurate HCPCS/J-codes and diagnosis codes per payer requirements.
• Review LCDs/NCDs and commercial payer policies for compliance.
• Process claims involving specialized treatment programs and TPAs.
• Conduct coding and documentation audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Identify discrepancies and denial trends; recommend improvements.
• Prepare audit findings and communicate recommendations to management.
• Support appeal documentation and payer disputes.
• Monitor updates to coding guidelines and payer requirements.
• Utilize Athenahealth or similar EHR/PM systems to support billing.
