Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Materials Manager to lead on-site receiving, laydown, storage, and inventory control for a data center build in a fast-paced environment. This boots-on-the-ground role prevents material shortages from delaying installation.

You will coordinate with the Logistics & Expediting Manager, manage laydown yards and preservation for major electrical/mechanical equipment, and perform cycle counts and reconciliations while ensuring safety and orderly materials flow on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in site materials management on industrial or data center projects.
• Experience receiving/storing major electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Strong inventory control including cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Fluent with inventory/ERP tools and Excel; forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site receiving, laydown, storage, and inventory control.
• Coordinate with the Logistics & Expediting Manager on inbound major equipment.
• Run cycle counts and reconcile to POs and BOMs.
• Plan three-week lookahead with superintendents and planners.
• Ensure safety and orderly laydown areas; crane/forklift coordination.
