The Estimator role contributes to accurate cost forecasting tied to project specs and historical data, with collaboration across sales, operations, and leadership. The position involves reading customer requirements, understanding production limits, and coordinating with carriers to quote freight while ensuring timely delivery and strong customer service.

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one-year related experience and/or training.
1–3 years estimating or sales experience preferred.
Requires proficiency with inventory software, Microsoft Office, project management software, and email.
Strong strategic planning, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
Customer service oriented with friendly demeanor and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Estimate product costs for manufactured products.
Communicate with sales representatives, customers, shipping and operations teams, and executives.
Estimate lead times on quotes based on current production.
Read and understand customer specifications for project requirements.
Understand the product line and manufacturing limitations.
Estimate freight costs from current carrier rates.
Organize workload to meet customer due dates.
File and organize paperwork; use various communication channels.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
