Job summary

Rock Solid Precast in Conroe, TX is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our precast concrete plant. You will support the Outside Sales team with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-offs and pricing for civil scope on Commercial Construction projects.

The role requires preparing timely quotes, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining project records to ensure accurate, competitive bids and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be attentive, organized and be able to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in reading construction plans and blueprints.
• One to three years of experience in a construction environment.
• One to three years of experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit quotes to customers per plans and specifications.
• Perform material take-offs at the beginning of projects and maintain upkeep.
• Assist with bids and support procurement of project materials from multiple vendors.
• Coordinate with dispatch, Sales, vendors, and customers.
• Work with Outside Sales/Inside Sales to align customer expectations.
• Prepare internal reports to track progress and timelines.
• Champion Rock Solid Precast products.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Rock Solid Precast, founded in 2015, is a leading precast company based in Conroe, TX. With a focus on customer service, safety, and quality, Rock Solid produces over 100 standard products as well as custom designs. The company works closely with customers and consults with multiple P.E.’s to ensure technical requirements are met.

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in a precast concrete manufacturing plant who will assist the Outside Sales team with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off and pricing of the civil scope on Commercial Construction projects (Private & Public) The Estimator will manage the preparation of civil estimates for these projects which will include sitework utilities such as: manholes, inlets/catch basins, safety end treatments, headwalls, etc.

ESTIMATOR

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing and submitting quotes to our customers per plans and detailed specifications in a timely manner.

• Prepares and handles material take off at the beginning of projects and maintains upkeep throughout the duration of the project.
• Assists with bids for new contracts and supports the procurement activities of job specific material by requesting estimates, submittals, and lead time from multiple vendors.
• Utilizes strong customer service skills while managing multiple projects in various phases at a time.
• Serves as liaison between dispatch, Sales team, vendors, & customers.
• Works closely with the Outside Sales/Inside Sales team to prioritize and focus customer expectations.
• Prepares internal reports to illustrate the job progress and timelines.
• Act as a champion for RockSolid Precast products
• Other duties as assigned by the management team.
