Job summary

Concast Inc in Wanamingo, MN is seeking an Estimator to price manufactured projects by analyzing specifications, labor, materials, and historical data. You will collaborate with sales, customers, shipping, and operations to prepare accurate quotes and meet delivery timelines.

Responsibilities include calculating costs, lead-time estimates, and understanding production constraints. A background in manufacturing estimating with good communication and organizational skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of estimating or sales experience is preferred.
• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer skills required: Inventory Software; Microsoft Office; Project Management Software; and Email.

Responsibilities

• Estimates product costs for manufactured products
• Communicates (email and phone) with sales representatives, customers, shipping manager, operations manager, president, and admin assistants.
• Estimates lead times on quotes based on current production
• Read and understand customer specifications for project requirements
• Comprehend the company’s product line and manufacturing limitations
• Estimates freight costs based on current freight rates acquired from carriers
• Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet customer due dates
• Files and organizes paperwork
• Utilizes email, phone, and other communication techniques to convey information
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
