Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team. You will support residents by keeping vacant units ready and responding to after-hours calls from a company-provided apartment onsite.

Role requires living on-site and availability on a rotating basis. You will perform drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance work to ensure timely move-ins, with a route to grow within a long-standing, values-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and appliance repair is preferred but training may be provided.
• HVAC certification or experience preferred but training is available.
• Must own basic tools.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software/apps.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant turn process to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, painting, caulking, grouting).
• Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, entry locks, windows; carpentry and tile work as needed.
• Complete administrative paperwork as required.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
