Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team and support residents. This role requires living on-site in a company-provided apartment and responding to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.

You will handle day-to-day maintenance, prioritize and complete work orders, and perform plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry tasks while maintaining hardware inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required; obtain within 120 days of start via company training.
• Experience in multi-family property maintenance preferred.
• HVAC experience strongly preferred.
• CPO certification and pool maintenance skills preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the apartment community day-to-day operations including common areas.
• Evaluate, prioritize and resolve work orders per quality standards.
• Perform plumbing tasks: pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink and faucet installations.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, water heater, boiler, and electrical issues.
• Repair appliances and perform carpentry work (doors, drywall, trim).
• Monitor inventory of commonly used parts and restock as needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.
• Communicate professionally with residents and coworkers.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company procedures.
