Job summary

Shea Properties is seeking a Floating Junior Service Technician to perform day-to-day cleaning and maintenance at an apartment community. Responsibilities include janitorial, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and pool maintenance, with a pay range of $21.50-$24.00/hour and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and pool maintenance.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Operate hand tools.
• Knowledge of First Aid and Safety procedures.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to create and close out work orders and respond to emails.
• Previous building/apartment related maintenance experience a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Specialized courses in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and cleans restrooms, offices, models, pool area, and common areas.
• Inspects grounds and trash enclosures, removes trash.
• Assists with cleaning and turnover of vacant apartments per move-in/move-out checklist.
• Deliver notices, flyers, newsletters to residents as requested.
• Paints signs, posts, fences, hydrants, decking, curbs.
• Performs general maintenance and repairs as directed.
• Receives and stocks maintenance supplies.
• Reconciles packing slips and forwards to the Service Manager.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness for residents and property.
• Provide on-call maintenance for evenings, weekends and holidays.
